Here is an original 1967-68 Z28 cowl induction air cleaner. These cars had flat hoods with no scoop. The famous hood scoop was released after this.

You can see the amount of air flow they thought was appropriate.
I have seen a couple of these.
There was a two four barrel cross ram ram air cleaner version also. Now that one is really rare.

You could buy one of these originals for some $2500 !!!!
Or make something similar of your own.
I have thought about using the LS5 twin snorkel air cleaner, and just adding hoses..
The windshield cowl area is a great place to connect it.
But I do not know if enough cowl area is available for this, or two 4" hoses, on a C3.

Get creative!
Make it work!
You can do it!

same.. I keep mine under the hood
augiedoggy, can you expand on this? (red circled area) I'd love to know if you have been successful in converting the old relays to more modern ones? Or what that wiring is doing?

Thanks!
Paul

thats actually a an additional fuse panel for things like the additional gauges Ive added under the hood and the electric fan controller. Im still using the original fuse panel in the car for the stock stuff.
