1971 Corvette, 350, Auto Trans with A/C. There is a bundle of wires (Two brown, two yellow and one purple) that branches out of the front headlight harness (near the firewall) and then goes through a hole in the firewall under the fuse block up into the dash, heads over the speedo and tach and then to the unknown. My poster size laminated wiring diagram does not show these wires. Can someone please identify what these wires are for? There is a separate plug under the dash for rear lights. If I install a new front headlight harness, I may have to splice into these? If there are two browns and two yellows hows a guy supposed to know....? u know.... Thank you!!!
Fiber optic cables are all black. You will not be splicing any wiring by replacing the front harness. You disconnect the harness at the firewall and connect the new one. The fiber optic cables, however, run all the way from the lights to the console lenses. Do NOT attempt to splice those.
