Default Update on Engine Rebuild. Comments, Projections, Ideas?

So just stopped in today at the Machine Shop and he's got the short block together. He also gave me my bill so far. Here's what I've got into the engine so far:

AC Delco Spark Plugs: $15.99

.050 Dur: 224i, 230e, Part 12-242-2
Durabond Cam Bearings CHP8: $58.13
Engine Paint: $19.62
Federal Mogul Roller Tip Rockers R1024R: $253.18
Federal Mogul Hydraulic Lifters HT817: $98.99

Fel-Pro Oil Pan Gasket 1803: $22.08
Fram Oil Filter PH13: $7.54
Keith Black Hypereutec Pistons KB120-040: $463.40
Melling Oil Pump M55HV: $62.00
Misc Plugs EPC41, EPC214A, PP567T: $1.39
Victor Timing Cover Set JV881: $16.10

And here's the labour he's done:

Balance Connecting Rods
(175 Pin End, 423 Big End, Pistons and Pins, Rod Bearing, Ring Set, 1873 BW)
Disassemble Engine and Hot Tank Block and Parts
Magnaflux
Remove and Replace Cam Bearings
Bore and Hone Cylinders .040 Over
Align Hone Cyl Block/Fit Main Bearing Clearances .0025
Remove and Replace Pistons on Connecting Rods
Install New Bolts and Resize Connecting Rods
Fit Bearing Clearances .002. Torque 50PSI
Short Block Assy c/w Degree Cam
Check all Bearing Clearances Heat Tabs Installed
Grind Crankshaft .010 Rods, .010 Mains
Balance Crankshaft 1873 Bobweight
Labour Total: $1583.55

So in total, I have about $5100CDN into this engine or $3400USD. What do you guys all think? What do you think I'm going to be pulling out of this engine as far as torque/hp when it's done. We are still using the stock torque converter in it with the stock rear end.

dukvet76....

Some very good components you are going in with the engine work. You could almost check out my check sheet of what I bought and find just about the same work that I bought turn-key as a long block.... minus all the extras that you have such as the outside working components(intake, distributor, coil, alternator, ignition wires, etc). $3400 US dollars sounds reasonable to me for what you are having put together. Maybe some of the people with dyno programs can give you some idea of the HP/Torque possibilities.
