Steeroids w/Hedders
I have purchased the Steeroids R&P kit and was wanting to use Hedman's part no. 68280 side exit hedders on my small block and make custom side-mount exhausts. Does anyone have any experience yet with clearance issues between these headers and portions of the Steeroids kit. The tubes are only 1-5/8" dia. From the posts about Hooker's side exhaust headers, looks like I could have a problem at #3 tube on the Hedman's. Anyone? :confused:

Looking at those headers in the Headman catalog, you may have some issues with the #3 or #5 tubes. This really depends on how close the tubes hug the block. I can't say with certainty either way but it looks as though those headers will fit. I would suggest trying to get dimensions from Hedman for how far the #3 and 5 tubes sit from the side of the engine block. You can compare that to how far the support bearing sits from the block. That should give you a reasonable idea of whether they will fit or not.
