77 Hood Blanket
My hood blanket is complete and it works, but it is dirty (can't keep the air filter cover clean) and not remotely pleasing to the eye. Can it be replaced with something that will insulate, can be cleaned, and looks good? If not, has anyone used a car wash spayer on one and had good results?

My hood blanket was nasty lookin too and I replaced it with a non-molded one that cost about $40. It was better than the old one but still didnt fit too good. I then got lucky at the Carlisle swap meet and found a new in the box molded blanket for $20. It fits aand looks right now. :cheers:

I took mine off. Painted the underside black and have had no problems.

Home Depot insulation blanket, has an aluminized side which looks good, been on my 77 for over 2 years, used the same insulation for the interior and I'm very pleased.
