Clutch Peddle Shaking
I have a 75 four speed and yesterday the clutch peddle started shaking while in neutral. There is also a ‘spinning’ noice coming from the trans until I depress the clutch. Not sure if this may be something simple or am I losing the trans. I can work through all the gears including reverse without any issues or sense of slippage
Thanks for any thoughts

advice ranged from pilot bearing / bushing/ clutch adjustment to make sure you have free play..
in my case it was not
Pilot Bushings and Bearings
To check for a noisy pilot bushing, begin listening for noise after starting the engine. Listen for noise with the engine running, the transmission in gear, and the clutch pedal to the floor. The clutch is released, but the transmission is in gear, which causes the engine crankshaft to spin around the held transmission input shaft. Noise under these conditions indicates a worn pilot bushing or bearing, or a worn release bearing.
BUT I FOUND THIS!!! its not really a noise but vibration.
A bearing noise that occurs if you release the pedal to engage the clutch while in neutral, but goes away when the pedal is depressed, is caused by a defect on the transmission’s input shaft bearing.
this thread fixed it
