Ive got a '75 which has the dash torn out of it to replace the heater core, and the center console out for a separate problem. I started the engine and turned on the blower motor to see if all the vents doors were working, and accidentally touched the connector going to the blower motor switch, which promptly burned the snot outta me. Closer inspection shows the area is melted somewhat. I've already changed out the blower motor and everything functions well, no blown fuses, but it wouldn't be the first time this car has tried to catch on fire! Is this a replace the connector because it was loose/dirty scenario or something was pulling too much amperage?
