Help with 15" rubber
Is anyone running these or will they look rediculous???
You need to find 17/18 rims you can live with for your C3 in order to get Ultra High Performance Tires. I believe there are steel rally corvette look alike aluminum rims in 18 inch and someone has a replica of the aluminum 15 inch rims in the later 70's like OEM on my 78 in18's.
17 inch SLP C4 ZR1 rims, no longer made, with exact C3 offset.
255/45/17 ZR's in Front and 255/50/17 ZR's in rear. They not only have tons more grip than my old 255/60/15 BFG Radial TA's (all for looks, zero performance for handling and braking) but they ride SO MUCH better on my C3 OEM Gymkhana suspension, upgraded with Bilsteins, 360 monospring, 550 springs 1 inch shorter in front, Poly sway bar bushings front and rear swaybars, poly front control arm bushings, front spreader bar, birdgage reinforced hidden brace etc.....others that own C3s that have been in my car cannot believe how well it rides, tight and sqeek free.........tires are a big part of the ride

Did you really mean 225/60/15?
You don't state where you're at but look at Performance Plus Tire in Long Beach.
They sell v-rated 255/60r/15s... and 235/60r15s...
BUT if you really meant 225/60/15 then they sell several v-rated 225s.

I know only one person with the Vitour Galaxy 255/70/15. Fitted to a C3 with uprated suspension. He also does organised instructor organised short circuit 'handling' days on unused runways.
He says the tires are OK but handling is limited by the 70 series aspect ratio.
Its getting close to needing to change the 18" Toyos on my '68 - I have consided 18" Accera tires - they seem to be a more 'sporty' profile in the larger diameters. They are half the cost of known 'brands'. One of the retailers here in UK markets them mentioning drift racers. Does that mean that drifters use them because they are cheap to buy? or is it because they have inferior performance in terms of grip/traction etc but they have minimal concern about this? Haven't seen any comparison tests of these brands.
