Bypassing generator for alternator
This is temporary to see if this is correct and if it works.
The 68 had externally regulated Alternator (AC Generator).
Check out the link below:
The color of the leads may not be exact but you can follow them back per the attached diagram.
It is for converting to a 12SI and I do NOT recognize that oddball Alternator you have going there?
I converted mine ages ago but I soldered the leads together and eliminated the whole voltage regulator connections.
If I remember I'll look tomorrow to see what leads I joined together.
What is that weird alternator you have there?

Could you tell me the alternator model/part number.
It may be a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) controlled alternator. I was researching one of those (in fact I have one to install to replace my CS-144) and if you have the appropriate LS ECM and harness then the old external regulator wiring will be pretty much unnecessary...... your ECM will control it.
OR, you can use external controls for PWM

At the external regulator;
The blue wire is jumpered to the brown wire. The white wire and the orange wire are capped off so that they will not short out to anything.
So, remove that middle jumper wire and just jump the brown to the blue.
Did you end up getting the alternator you mention in the post below? The PowerMaster 584061?

If so, then per summit racing equipment website that is a GM CS130D/AD Alternator.....
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/p...EWnBcsiaDwMMIm
and within that website it tells you what alternator it is....GM CS130D/AD Alternator.... and sends you to this page: https://static.summitracing.com/glob..._cs130d_ad.pdf
SO - is that 2 pin or a 4 pin connector on your alternator?
