Intake Manifold Bolt Washer Thickness
I'm getting ready to re-install my intake manifold after cleaning it up and needing to install new gaskets.
I bought a set of ARP SS bolts and four of the eight come with washers that are slightly thinner.
Where on the manifold should these be placed?
Thanks!

I just bought the same ones, 434-2101 correct?
I believe they go on the front four holes, to gain more access around the coolant crossover.

Yep, that's the one! Hopefully someone else can verify your hunch. Thanks

I had a second thought could the thinner washers be used at both the forward and rear (I'd say aft, but that might seem too nautical) most mounting points because those are blind threads? All the other mounting points open to the oil galley below.

Those 4 thinner washers go in the two hole on either side of the carb base, where space is limited.

The four outside corner holes are blind holes.
You do not want a bolt to bottom out there.
So use the thicker washer.
Smaller diameter washers?
Any place interference from the casting is present.
Don't forget thread sealant.

That was my other thought, just wasn't as sure.

Good point. I was thinking more that you'd more threads, but that makes better sense.
Thread sealant? DEFINITELY!! That"s the main reason I started this. Five of the eight bolts would ooze oil until the engine warmed up.
Thanks
