Default 1970 Speedometer cable confusion

I was under the impression that there are 2 speedo cables for my 1970, an upper and a lower cable. Then i see this: https://www.topflightautomotive.com/...cable-72-inch/

Can anyone tell me if this replaces the 2 cables or is this something else? I'm replacing my speedo and figured i would change everything i could while i'm there.

69-77 automatic Corvettes used a two piece cable, a 24" long lower and 42" upper. Manual trans cars used a one piece cable about 70-72 inches long. The one piece manual trans cable can be used as a replacement for the two piece cable in automatic cars.

In my 1969 AIM it shows a 2 piece speedo cable upper 6477213 70" which does not make and sense since the connection to the trans tail housing is on the drivers side and a lower 6454863 23.5". There is a cable number 6480230 that is 41" to 44" long that would make sense for a 1969 with the speedo trans connection on drivers side.. 1971 the part cable part number number went to 6477901 70" long but the transmission connection is on the passengers side. Gm parts book are not very helpful in finding speedo part numbers. Since I do not have an 1970 AIM to see what numbers were used then.

The '72 AIM also shows single-piece 6477901 for manual trans cars and the 6477213 (upper) & 6454863 (lower) for the auto trans cars.

6477901: Doc Rebuild lists the 25032865 as a Delco reissue of 6477901 (72" used on a number of other GM cars).

upper 6477213 became 6478170 (40" used on a number of other GM cars)
lower 6454863 became 6454481 (23.75" used on a number of other GM cars)

Other than saving money (which is high on my list) is there any benefit/down side to using the 1 long cable?

The transducer they used on the cruise control would require the two separate cables versus the single cable that goes straight to the speedometer from the transmission on the manual cars. This is the only thing that I can think of that would change the speedometer cable length.

If you do have the transducer on your car then you might have to use two cables or loose the cruise control functionality.
