OK guys. I messed up. I’m in the process of repairing my gauges and in the process of removing the center gauge cluster, I neglected to take photographs. I’m good with everything so far. I think the oil gauge should function now and obtained a new clock to replace old one (contacts were broke so a basic repair wasn’t possible). While not stock, I’m hoping the new quartz clock will serve for years to come. My problem is what I think is a radio noise suppressor that I can’t recall exactly where I removed it from. I have attached a photo of the suppressor.

I don't recall any condensers behind the gauge cluster itself. To me, that one looks like the one for the brake pedal switch where the copper strip just slides into the connector with the other wires. My '72 AIM page for those is very hard to read (U69, A3), otherwise I'd post a screenshot.

I found pictures of one capacitor that was mounted to one of the clock mounting screws. I think mine was mounted on the back of the gauges but I don’t recall. I’ll definitely take photos next time, lol. Thanks!

I think the very early (68~69) did have one on the clock to stop the AM click when it "rewound"

68 AIM
Bolted to the ammeter, plugged into the clock but I can't tell what lead. If you're going quartz it won't matter and in all reality, that thing is so old it's not going to do anything anyway
