Default Winter Projects.......

I just updated my sig to show what I've been working on this winter. The old clunking 3.36 rear is out, waiting for the 3.70 rear and Bilstein shocks to arrive. The center console, gauge bezel, and dash pad are all out, console parts are disassembled and being painted in the basement. The Kenwood CD receiver and Infinity 4x6 plate speakers should be here Monday.

I'd still like to find a cheap fiberglass spring to replace the 9 leaf that's in there now. Saw one on eBay, but the guy didn't know anything about it.

What have you been up to? How's it coming along? Phil says there's a little less than 6 more weeks of winter, right?

Not getting into anything quite that extensive but will tear my dash apart also.
Looked up my stored info on speedometers and pulled out Redline Gauge
and Clock. Tried to call John this afternoon and got no answer, will try again on
Monday. Want to replace my spdm. with a 140 or 150 or whatever he has.
Also gonna pull out all intake bolts and use Teflon tape on them. After putting
on new intake a few years ago it's always leaked a bit even after filling hole with
permatex. Was a nice article in VETTE this month and they suggested tape. Got
a new roll so will give it a try.
May do some work on brakes to get rid of a squeal also.
Nothing will get done tho until we get back from a week in Key West, need
some sun and a week from Tuesday we'll be there. Steve

The 3.36 rear is going to sit around as a spare for a while after I see if I can figure out why it was making noises. Thanks for the vote of confidence on the dash. It didn't come apart too hard....
May 1st seems late. The first week of April should be ok. (I went to RPI in Troy, a couple of hours east of you, and my wife grew up in Rochester)

I began my paint job project in October. Slowly, I am working my way towards getting some color back on the body. Weather, work, and school prevented me from staying on task but I hope by Spring it will be Flame Orange again and looking better than ever.

Haven't been as busy as you. Been working on the house a lot. Got my A4 seats and one sets of tracks done. Need to order carpet and start repainting the trim plates. I have to replace the thermoset and swap the Holley carb for an Edelbrock (then I can run a 2" air filter and have some hood clearence).
