Default 1969 427/435 Spark Plug Cabling Question | Crossfire

Good morning all!

A little confusion about the wiring order for the grommet pass through on both the passenger and driver side. I have the driver side identified as 7-3-5-1 starting from the top left going clockwise. I can't find anything that shows the passenger side, other than what zip-corvette shows on their site as 4-2-8-6 starting top left and going clockwise, or on this forum someone posted the NCRS manual shows the passenger side as being 8-4-2-6. I can't find the NCRS manual that shows this information.

Could anyone provide clarification? Worried about crossfire.

Cheers!

Scott

I never knew they had a diagram. I just put them where they wanted to go and fit the best. It doesnt matter if you have good wires. I use 8mm with an MSD and dont have any wire to wire issues

(The AIM wiring is under the radio option detail pages.)
The issue that GM was addressing is that #5 and #7 are right next to each other in the firing order and any spark jumping between them is no good, so are routed with as much separation as possible. The passenger side doesn't have this issue so the order is just a CCW 2,4,6,8.

The '72 AIM is even more specific showing that the #5 & 7 should be at opposite ends of the wire holder on the valve cover.
