Compare & Contrast: Lars Q-Jet vs. Holley 4010 600cfm DP.
Long story short:
Was given a Holley Carb. Was told it was a 750DP. Was told by Forum that it was too much for my SB. E-MAiled numbers found on carb to Holley. Holley tells me it is a 600 CFM DP w/ Vac Secondaries.
How would this work on my Mildly Modded SB in comparison to my Lars built Q-Jet?

It can't be both a Double pumper (DP) and have vacuum secondaries at the same time... which is it?
If you have a mild smallblock a 600 VS will work fine. Won't make any more power than a properly setup Q-jet, though. If Lars setup the Q/jet I bet it will run better than an out-of-the-box holley.

OOPS! My bad, I figured that a Holley was a DP if it had 2 fuel inlets.
See, you open your mouth and then you find out how dumb you are

Stewart, the correct terminology.....dual feed Holley. Yea, the dual feed will work, but you need an adapter, and you will negate any performance gains due to the primaries on the intake manifold.

My Lars Q-Jet ROCKS............... :D :D :D
Q-jets don't leak as much as Holley's. I hate Holleys because they are leaky bastards. A friend just about burned down his 69 Camaro because of a Holley. Q-jet gets better gas milage too.

Q-Jets are better for the street.
