Wire Mystery Fun

1980 L48 Automatic. Removed center console and amongst all kinds of screws, black tape, broken plastic bits I find the attached rogue single green wire. Can anyone tell me what it connects to?

Are you saying it's not shown in the wiring diragram for a 1980? So it could be anything someone added or removed over the past 45 years

Looks like it is still intact. Trace it. It may go back to the fuse panel and let you know, or into something else that is known.
