fan clutch question
My fan clutch has been going south on my truck for a bit. I'm not using the vettes fan right now so I figure I might be able to use it instead.
The question is: Is a clutch fan for a v-belt system(vette) the same as a clutch from a serpentine belt system(truck).
I know the water pumps turn in different directions but the concept of the operation of the clutch(fluid coupling) leads me to believe that it might be ok to interchange them.
Anybody have experience with it?
