I believe some were rubbing in the slot. According to info per Summit, these particular iron heads have issues with 1.6 rockers. Further, the heads do not require guide plates. Also swapped carbs; put the qjet from my 1967 Buick Riviera on the Corvette and put a new Holley 950 on the Riv - big improvement for both. I can't believe how hard the Corvette pulls now, and this was just a "mild" rebuild / refresh using stock rear end, stock trans and converter. It might give the Riviera a run for its money now.

Ok, got it.
Most aftermarket heads will state whether they have "elongated" pushrod slots or not.
