Default Cigarette Lighter

In my quest to get my shift console back together, I have been trying to sort out and repair a few things. I got the e-brake functioning again and moved on to the cigarette lighter. I found a grey wire that I am assuming is the power wire for the lighter but it doesn’t have the connector. I think I can find that piece but the lighter also has a light attached but the power wire for the light is missing. I’ve found replacement lights but they’re for earlier models and not for a 69. I also so far can’t find where this wire would’ve connected. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

The gray wire is for the lighter's light bulb - all bulbs in the dash are gray wired. I believe the lighter itself is powered by a red or orange wire.

Thanks, I just checked and fortunately both wires have power. I just have to find the proper connectors. I need a connector with a male spade to connect to the lighter stub and a new connection for the light. It apparently pulled loose when I removed the console. I’ll look around the net and hopefully locate replacements.

An orange wire powers the cig lighter. It's a 12 or 14 awg wire, I think. It carries significant current. The gray wire is for the clip on light on the side of the lighter housing.

I believe the cigarette lighter power connector is something like this Lectric Limited Link:https://www.lectriclimited.com/produ...-adapter-wire/
I also saw a fused version on the American Autowire site.

Update! I feel foolish but I guess you learn as you go. Upon closer inspection of the cigarette lighter power wire, what I originally thought was a spade connector was actually the connector for the stub on the lighter. So that problem is solved. I have been unable to find a replacement socket for the lighter light but I can probably fabricate something that will work. I appreciate everyone’s help!
