Default 1982 crossfire intake manifold bolts...

Hey folks, I got my hands on a used crossfire intake recently from a forum member (thanks!) and I'm looking to start rebuilding/cleaning it so i can pack it away for when its needed.

Does anyone have a lead on all the bolts that are needed for this? throttle body bolts, standoffs, upper plenum bolts, etc?

Would love to have ARP bolts installed but I'm wondering if I have to measure and size each bolt I need and order them separately from ARP?

Thanks!

Why? I'm pretty sure they don't wear out.

Assuming that all the bolt holes line up properly with YOUR engine block, use a wooden or metal rod with 1/4" graduations marked on it to place into each bolt hole and determine the depth or each hole. Subtract 1/4" from whatever the depth measures for that hole and buy the bolt required for it. Many of the bolts will be of the same measurement. Others may be shorter or longer. Make a diagram of which bolts go where so that you can install the bolts properly.

ARP bolts are less likely to seize up in aluminum. rolled threads, good quality made in USA. Would rather prefer to go to a good bolt source than hardware specials/40 year old GM specials.

If I go and resize all the bolts and find thread pitch/dia, ill post up the generic ARP bolts we can probably use.

Just curious, why are you messing around with a crossfire intake... They generally don't go bad, are all the same and pretty much stink for performance...

I love that its a C3 with fuel injection. I know its slow, but I have a C5 and S/C C6 (broken currently) for fast-car duties. I just want it to get ok gas mileage, start up every time, and not have to mess with carbs. I know the CFI intake usually develops vac leaks over time so I was going to preemptively open it up, clean, port/polish, refresh the fuel reg, and get it ready to drop into mine. However, it came with no plenum bolts and potentially mis-matched TBI bolts so i was hoping for a kit to swap it all.

Honestly, the crossfire has been OK. I think if GM had improved runner design it would've been a great manifold.

Then a carburetor is what you want LOL. I don't see your location. I'm in north east Florida and have Crossfire intake manifold with the bolts up in my attic. You are welcome to it. I was going to scrap it anyway. I'm unable to ship stuff right now.

Default Port it!

While you have it off, port match the CFI. You’ll be glad you did. Refer to Buccaneer for more info.
