Continues..took advice and replaced the regulator and motor. Cleaned tracks and lubed with white grease.
however, after assembly..the window was cocked toward the front of the car leaving a gap toward the rear of the car...can anyone shed some light on how to proceed?
You need to adjust the "tilt". The 2 screws inside the rectangular depression would be the ones if I remember correctly. The Assembly Manual has instructions.
There is a pretty involved procedure to go thru when changing that motor out. The window mechanism must be locked in place to prevent spring unwinding, etc.
Detail for that is found in the Chevrolet Service Manual for your year car (many C3 years have same procedure, but I can't state that it is the same for all C3 years).
