I did find this page that had this info:
1982 Corvette Axle Ratios
Code Ratio Application
OA 2.72 Standard Wheels
OF 2.87 Aluminum Wheels
I have the Rally Wheels which I assume is standard. So if this is correct why would the aluminum wheels have a different ratio? Did they come with different size tires?
I found a 77 with aluminum wheels I'm trying to get the wheels from... I assume they fit?

You can go by the differential code or you can jack up the rear end and count crankshaft revolutions per wheel rotation. Several of my cars over the years had the rear end ratio changed by POs, unbeknownst to me.

Bubba did so much work on this car I think the only way is to count when I have it up to change the differential oil and see if it's factory stock or not.

Just from memory (can't remember what I had for breakfast lol) the aluminum wheels were 8" wide and came with slightly bigger tires. I have a set off my '80 that were professionally polished, if you are interested I will give you a good deal for a forum member. Just PM me.
