Just went and got the girlfriend a dozen roses for Valentines day...$55.00. Yet another reason why I feel Valentine's day should be outlawed. That was the cheaper of the two locations I check, the other was asking $80 for a dozen! I have something special planned with the roses :blueangel:.
ouch they aer any where from 65 to 110 a doz hope she says yes been married for 30 years this year
and i only need to giver her what ever she wants just probly dinner
Are you getting Kinky Shane. Planning on doing something with the roses?
Sounds funny to me. Be very careful, I mean very careful with doing anything with the roses. They have thorns and it could ruin a good time. Personally I use the roses as a bribe to get what I really want. As far as I care they can just sit it a vase.
Let us know what you can do with roses. Maybe it would add spice to an old old marriage. Us old guys need all the help we can get.
Good luck Shane
Valentines day is a greeting card holiday, and flower prices do go up. I think that sucks, but it all comes down to the things we do for love. Those roses should make her heart melt, and it will be worth every penny you spend.
Remember, Rose petals are soft and have no thorns... I believe it was a Bon Jovi song that said "I want to lay you down in a bed of roses."
I bought a dozen at New Years for $20. I attached a note to each one, and hid them throughout the house. Each hour I gave her a clue to find the next rose, the final one came at midnight with an engagement ring. Of course she said yes.

Why of course did she say yes?
:) :)
Did you trick her with wine or are you that good of a catch. :) :)
Just kidding. Contratulations and best wishes to the bride.
I had to laugh I was going to work this morning and drove by a supermarket, they had a sign Roses $12.95 a dozen. Across the street some Rednecks setup a tent with a sign Roseses (that's right Roseses) $9.95 a dozen 2 dozen minimum. There must have been 10 4wd trucks lined up buying roseses. I guess Billy Bob has to have one dozen for his wife and one for his girl friend.
My wife told me this morning, "If you buy me anything like roses or candy I'll kick your azz!" I believe her too!
If it don't last more than a week and cost $50 or more (roses) they ain't worth it. Been married 17 years and SHE told me that. Spent $110 on a Geppedo doll she wanted. Will last a lifetime and is what she wanted. I couldn't go wrong. :flag
