Default A/C Install Help

Help, I have been researching a/c replacements and went with classic auto air on the advice of a friend who used it in his scout. Got the kit and I have talked to the Install folks and after also calling vintage air it sounds like the early 68 is a mess of parts between 67 camaro, 67 vette and 68 vette? Anybody know how to upgrade the ac or any kit experience and pieces fit the early 68s. I have checked Install documents and after trying to install classic auto air system which for any who have an early 68 unless you want to give up the center console completely. It will not fit.

This doesn’t fit.

I installed Hot Rod A/C in my 68 and I ended up fabricating my center ducting. The "stuff" that came with my kit was essentially worthless. Here are a couple of pictures. I tried different contraptions and this is what I am using right now.....seems to flow well enough and fits behind in that tight space.
It is some plastic oil container and some emptied adhesive tubes that I run the ducting to for air flow.
Looking at your pic I suspect you will also need to take the defrost ducting and adapt it to your system.....that sure seems way too much BULK in the middle.

You are right its way too much bulk. They are going to let me return it. So good news. Yes it is way to much bulk. I have looked at other kits and it looks like there are some that are smaller and have different modifications. I'll look at your pictures thank you.

That's a little bit of good news.
If you read the forum you'll see that lots of folks go with Vintage Air. You can also see multiple videos on youtube about installing vintage air..... seems that lot of folks have issues with the ducting behind the center bezel though.....
