I've looked,couldn't find an answer. I'm doing some work on an 81 and I'm replacing the antenna mast. The antenna won't shut off up or down,could this be the relay or does the antenna have a separate controller that controls up/down stop? I've rebuilt a few of these but never had this issue. Thanks for any tips.
There is a limit switch inside the motor, activated by what's shown in the pic.
One was broken like shown in one antenna I rebuilt.
Are you able to be bench test the antenna to rule out the relay?

I got this thing apart and now that I fully understand how the thing operates my problem is the armeture isn't kicking hard enough to hit the off switch. The armeture moves forward/back depending on up/down,it's this movement that activates the switches. This antennas been apart before so that's might be one reason I can't get it to work right. In the parts stash it goes.
