Eckler's Widebody Offset Help
It's been a few years since I posted but I'm getting back to working on the car and getting it back on the road. I had a loose bolt cutting a groove on the inside of one of my wheels. It is probably about 25% cut through and I don't want to risk it coming apart. I have a 1977 with the Turbo GT kit. I have a 360lb monospring and am putting in the rest of the Van Steele Street and Slalom kit (550lb springs) and the Borgeson steering box. I rebuilt the stock trailing arms. I don't think I've done anything else that would impact wheel and tire fitment.
I have been looking for someone with the same body kit that has found a good wheel and tire combo/offset for 10 years but I have only seen folks with heavy mods underneath. Has anyone figured out the right offset? Right now I have 15x9s with big spacers. I'd prefer 18s, ideally a size that isn't custom.
