Default speedo cable and Autometer Question

Good day all
I have a question about the speedo cable in my car
I am putting in Autometer gauges and the cable in my 76 is not the same I need one that screws on.
Was a 68 cable that type
One more thing
Which Spedo gear do you think I would need now that I have a 4:11 and 235 60 15 size tires.
my speedo is way out as you can imagine I used to have 3:08's
Thanks

The speedo cable that came in my 68 fit perfectly on the Autometer gauges.. However - the 68 speedo cable was a one year only part... The 68 speedo cable was a screw on cable and 69 and later was a clip on design... The 69 and later speedo cable won't work with the Autometer gauges.. The easiest solution would be to order a 68' speedo cable which should work.. My 68' is a early 68' - so it might even be a different part than for late 68' but I'm not sure.. The only thing that I know for a fact is that the one that came in my 68' screwed right on the Autometer gauges...

Aaron,
Go to Advance Auto or Auto Zone and pick up a gerneric cable. It will work just fine. I picked up for my sons camaro with a autometer speedo. less than $10.00
