Default Bee Jay’s C8 wheels fit the C3!

I just bought some new forged and polished wheels for my C8. I had the C3 up on the lift, and just for grins I tried the C8 wheels on the C3. They fit! Using the same adapters for fitting C5 Z06 wheels. Good to know!

You know what you have to do now…

305/30r20s are 27.2 inches in diameter, perfect for a C3.

They are very close but unfortunately not the same bolt pattern. There has been other threads on this in the past.

C8 Corvette- 14mm studs, centre bore 66.9mm, 5x120mm bolt pattern

C3-C7 Corvette-12mm studs, centre bore 70.3, 5x120.7mm (4.75") bolt pattern

@Bee Jay, can you let us know what you are doing to get C5 Z06 wheels to fit a C3?

I have 2" adapters for my 18x9.5" wheels, and they seem to fit front and back, and keeps the offset stock. I tried with my 18x10.5" C5 Z06 wheels (rear only, but the only ones that are 18" stock), and as expected they don't fit at either end. 2 1/2" might work in the rear with offset trailing arms and no sway bar. 3" might work at both ends, but they'd stick out at that point.

Are you using thicker adapters? 17" wheels in the front? Narrower aftermarket 18" wheels? Something else?

Thanks!

18' front and back, but I notched the frame and went to offset trailing arms, no rear sway bar. I did a post. Just do a search on Bee Jay.

Thanks!

I think I found the threads. I'll leave some links here in case someone finds this thread first. I'm hoping I can run stock 18x10.5" C5 Z06 wheels on the SRIII chassis, which has better steering arm and ball joint clearance in front, and chassis clearance in the rear.

295/35-18s tires in back: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...ls-are-on.html
Upgraded 315/30R18s in the rear: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...new-shoes.html
(both on 18x10.5" wheels)

285/35/19s up front:http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...-up-front.html
(on 18x9.5" wheels, which are aftermarket only)

And one big thread for all!
