We have a customer with a 1972 corvette with a 454. One of the things he's considering having us do is install a crate big block. We're looking at a Blueprint long block. These crate engines use a 1 piece rear main seal. I was looking for an oil pan that will accommodate this as well as fit in the Corvette.
Can anyone offer any assistance with this?
Milodon 31186 is 8.5" deep,
Stock pan is 7.75" deep
Check out Milodon 30975. It is 7.75" deep. We are currently using this pan on a customer's Blueprint 502 in a 73 c3

My Milodon 31188 is no lower than my QuickTime bell housing. I like having the 6 qr capacity and the stepped design helps keep the pick up covered. I had a Moroso pan originally but would lose oil pressure on hard acceleration in 1st or 2nd gear due to the G forces and pickup becoming uncovered. Never an issue with the Milodon.
I used the Champ Mark 5 pan on my BP502. I removed the BP pan and then removed the installed wintage tray and oil pump.
I used a new oil pump and pickup that fits the Champ pan. I also replaced the studs that held the wintage tray.
Also there is no coolant sensor location on the heads so I used a thermostat adapter to screw the sensor into.
