Default Window Motor Cover

Hi all,

New here to the thread, been reading many posts and learning lots. Bought my 75 C3 about 3 weeks ago and have been enjoying it immensely!! Been a dream come true for me as I've been looking at them for about 4 years waiting to find the right one. Just a couple small projects to make this car complete.

The previous own had repaired the passenger side window motor and switch to get it working. Had to rotate the switch as it was installed upside down but the window motor cover was just floating in the truck, anyone know what size screws hold the cover? Would like to replace the cover instead of having it float around in the trunk or my garage. Appreciate the help!

The screws used to secure the access panels are hex head sheet metal screws a 1/2" long, and I think are # 8's. I pulled one out of a used door and I can tell you it has a 5/16" hex head and is about 1/2" long, but I can't confirm it's a #8, that's just a guess from looking at it.

According to my '72 AIM these panel screws are #9419320 (M139, UPC 1, K8) . AMK has them but there's a $30 minimum order.

Welcome to the Corvette Forum 1975COrVette!

We are glad you have chosen to join us here at the Corvette Forum where we see C3 owners helping each other every day. This is THE place to be if you have questions or issues with a Corvette.

It sound like you are on a trip to the hardware store. Those screws should be easy to find out there. When working on the interior of your C3 they make kits with ALL the screws and fasteners used inside the vehicle. The deals are there.

How far are you from Carlisle, Pennsylvania? Corvettes@Carlisle is coming up soon and it is a great place to find the parts you need for your Corvette. I live 103 miles from the fairgrounds in Carlisle so my family and I went for decades before COVID. They had 50,000 Corvette nuts and owners at the fairgrounds and they sold virtually every part for the older C3's. Today, 30 some years later the show goes on. It is a worthwhile trip if you are close enough. I would go there with lots of cash and came home with lots of treasures.

Enjoy that Corvette of yours and if you ever need us we will be here to try and help! We are your fellow C3 owners and we want to see you on the roads again in your Corvette!
