Default Borgeson 605sol leaking 1968 coupe

I know forgive me for another borgeson leaking but this thing is kicking me to the curb. I elected to go with the 605sol o ring adapter after hearing of trouble using the brass inserts. I think that this is almost related. the high pressure port allow the 605sol to go down all the way to the nut head. pictures I have seen on other installs shows a small gap between the 605sol nut head and the borgeson case. not mine, tried three sets of 605sol and they all leak on the high pressure side. I feel like my only option is to machine down the 605sol to be allowed to go down deeper. am I the only one with this problem. regards, Atlanta

the first O-ring adapter fitting I tried with my Borgeson conversion, the fitting didn't have enough thread length, and bottomed on the underside of the hex. After studying some catalog pics, I ordered a different brand of fitting with more thread length under the hex. That solved that issue. Sorry, but I don't remember the brands. The adapters I was using were to convert from the O-ring fitting to AN-6 on the high pressure side.

Default my solution

tried five different 605sol fittings hoping for one that would not leak. they were all painfully identical. started looking at switching to the AN type fitting that would require different hoses. What I ended up doing was taking a 605sol and putting it in a vice, using a dremmel with a cylinder stone on it, I cut the edges of the fitting were it contacted the pump housing down to a forty five degree angle, I then finished it off with a file. I anticipated so many problems but it went fast and smooth... the 605sol threaded in without contacting the pump housing and is without leaks. thank God, Atlanta

I've used these from Speedway on a number of Borgeson installed as they allow for more threading over stock ferrules, they have worked very well

this also helps with the lower return line if you get allot of kink
