Default 69 wiper help

I'm trying to reinstall working wipers on my former "race car". PO removed wipers, heat, dash, etc.
Started out with this
Started out with this

now I've got the motor and tranmission in, and I need to wire it. I have high speed and low speed, using a generic headlight switch, but no park, because there's no ground for the green wire in the off position. Ideas?
Anyone know how this is wired? (Greenwood #49)

"Generic headlight switch"??? Is that a typo?

Not a typo, see the last photo, wiper switch looks the same as the headlight switch.

OK, thought you were referring to factory wiper switch, don't see how a simple on off switch is going to work correctly to get hi and low speed.

Hello,
My info is based on a 71 car but may be of some help to you and your 69.
I believe the park function is part of the wiper motor function.
The wiper arm closes the vacuum valve under the right side arm to close the wiper door.
This completes the wiper park.
The plunger completes the electrical connection to the wiper motor.
Perhaps an original style wiper switch is needed to control the wiper motor functions?
Regards....

Wiper switch

Vacuum switch

Wiper bay

Wiper arm closing vacuum switch

2 wiper controls below steering column.

Plunger completes circuit when door is open.

Try this...
Lets use these numbers as the circuit numbers...
At the wiper motors 3 wire connector from top to bottom
Top = Circuit #92
Middle = Circuit #93 (Switched Ign.)
Bottom = Circuit #91
Circuit #150 is chassis ground..
Switch in Off Position Circuits #91 & #150 are connected
Switch in Low Speed Circuits #91, #92 & #150 are connected
Switch in High Speed Circuits #92 & #150 are connected...
The problem I believe you are having is in the off set of contacts...
When the wiper motor is in either Hi or Low speed(s) the park switch solenoid is energized pulling in the field or shunt set of contacts for motor windings...
When you select OFF you need a latch circuit so the motor stays running. Once the park solenoid deenergizes the park paw retracts and when motor finishes it's rotation it then opens the field windings set of contacts...

Thank you for the reply, my car has no wiper door or any of the associated vacuum circuits. Great looking wiper bay!

Can I wire a latch circuit with a standard 5 pin relay?

Do you have any info on the wiper switch you used?
Does your wiper switch have 3 Normally Open sets of contacts?
Does Circuit #150 land at one side of the Off set of contacts?
If so, jumper Circuit #91 to Circuit #150...
So anytime the switch is in the OFF position #91 & #150 are connected...
#91, #92 & #150 are just switched ground circuits...
Attached below is a video of the Wiper Motor switching 69-72.
Pay special note at around the 1:20 mark...
At this point Ernie has attached Circuits #92 & #150, motor is running at High Speed...
At around the 1:30 mark Ernie attaches Circuit #91 and motor runs at low speed...
So at this point Low speed #91, #92 & #150 are connected...
So to make the motor PARK he removes #92 from the circuit...
Now only Circuits #91 & #150 are connected...

I have watched the video, I guess I need a switch with 3 sets of contacts as you suggested.
When I jump 91&150 on this switch I lose high speed.

Thanks!
Find the Common set of contacts of your switch, land #150 there...
First pull find set of contacts where #91, #92 & #150 are connected...
High Speed #92 & #150 connected
Something like this...

Something like this...
with 91&150 jumpered, that makes 91 always grounded, negating the high speed.

Not in the OFF position...
There's no relationship between #91 and High speed.
Read out your switch again.
Hang in there you'll get it!
