Default decoding options tag

Hello everyone. Could someone please help with decoding the options tag on my 1981 Corvette? This is the tag located on the driver's side door jamb below the A-pillar. Thank you!

641 indicates a camel color interior

the 50U and 50L indicate beige exterior (upper and lower)

The 74M indicates metallic bronze (two-tone applied over the beige on the lower body)

81 Corvettes were built in two different plants. From August 80 through the end on August 81 they were built in St Louis, and from June 81 through early November 81 they were built in Bowling Green KY. The format of the trim tags differed between the two plants, the format of your tag identifies it as a Bowling Green car.

On Bowling Green tags the letter "B" on the top left stands for 1981. The "08B" indicates the body was assembled the second week (B) of August (08) 1981. As 69L88 posted above, "46I" is the interior trim code (Camel), "50L 50U" is the primary color (Beige) and "74M" is the lower accent color (dark bronze). The "E" indicates enamel paint, which was first used paint Corvettes at Bowling Green.

Would also like to point out that is a trim tag, nothing to do with what options the car has.

Thanks everyone. Is there a separate options tag on 1981 models?

No there is not.
Try the Corvette Museum for a copy of the original invoice.
