I’m preparing to install the firewall insulation into my 73 coupe.
The AIM shows the fastener #3 which I also purchased and comes in a package of 9 pieces.
In the AIM diagram it clearly shows the location of one fastener and if you look closely it could appear the AIM, not so clearly, shows the location of a total of four places where the fasteners attach the insulation straight across the center portion of the insulation.
1. Are there actually only four locations where the fasteners hold the insulation to the firewall?
2. If so are you guys just using some adhesive to hold the insulation in place or once everything is bolted to the interior side of the firewall do those components hold it?
3. Where do the remaining five rubber fasteners go?
