Default 82 Electrical Components in Jack Compartment

Does anyone know what these components do? They are in the forward bulkhead of the jack compartment. If they are part of the cease-fire system I want to remove them as the motor has a carburetor now. There is also one small component left in the battery compartment, not sure what that is... the ECM is gone.

Delay wiper module and power antenna relay. The component left in the battery box is most likely a ESC module. There's a VSS module, a fuel pump relay, and there maybe a small module that only purpose is to turn on the check engine light at 80,000 miles all in that area.

Ok the wiper delay module is the black one on the right side of the photo.

And this is the power antenna module

What is the one on the left of the first photo?

I don't recall that that relay in my car but then again it's been a few years since I looked at that. Maybe a spare that someone just stuck in there??? Army is correct, you definitely need a factory service manual so at least to figure out the wiring on these cars.

A lot of the wires from the left most device went to the ECM in the battery compartment judging from the wire colors. What I'm doing is removing all the cease fire wiring starting at the battery compartment.

I removed everything involved with the fuel injection too. The one thing to be aware of is the oil pressure sending unit wiring is part of the engine management harness which connects to the dash harness at the rear of the car. So save that connector and so it can be rejoin to the dash harness.

The last wiper delay picture you used is an after market replacement, and they do not have the relay can, solid state. Your first pic is what a stock one looks like, there is nothing extra there... Don't mess with it, your wipers will stop working and you will be out 250.

I got some better photos of the three components in the jack compartment.

Anyone know what this is? It's the one closest to the center of the car.

Anyone know what these two connectors are for? Some of the wires from the ecm do go to them. They are just forward of the rear mount for the parking brake cover.

Trying to be as careful as I can...

@Fly skids up! How far forward did you remove the ecm wiring? I assume the theft module does nothing now without the ecm. I did determine the fuel pump relay is in the battery compartment but not sure if it is hooked up or not.

Everything, from the front to the rear except for the oil pressure gauge and and the 12 volt feeds to the injectors. One 12 volt injector feed repurposed to power the electric choke and the other one is just taped up in case I need something else 12 volt switched under the hood. All of three of those wires originally was part of those connectors that you asked about ran to the rear of the car. I shorten the them and spliced those wires together under the dash. I did one wire at a time, identified its usage and then deemed if it needed to be removed.
I don't think the theft module has anything to do with the ECM. However it's a mood point in my car because I removed the starter interlock relay when I did the five-speed conversion.

@Fly skids up! I've got the wires back to the dash and to the firewall, did you remove the speed and tach gauges to get to the outer tape coating to remove the wires?

And it looks like a mess and I've knocked off the vacuum hose it seems. Some of the wires look like they go to the 700R4 and a few to the oil pressure switch. The O2 sensor wire I cut it long and marked it and left it by the blower housing in case I want to use it.

To answer my own question yes the speedometer and tachometer housing has to come out to find the zip tie and cut it so the cable is loose.

The 81 had a different engine control system, if that's what you're asking about?
