Default Windshield Wiper Motor normal operation? (1973)

Picked up an older project recently that appeared to need a new wiper motor. Its a 1973 Coupe. After going thru a few wiring issues, I pulled the new motor back out and bench tested (can't seem to post the video). Is the pump supposed to pump during normal operation? There is no power applied to the pump, but it is pushing the plunger up and down off the motors circulation. Did I install the pump assembly incorrectly when putting them together? (both from Zip). New switch used as well. Everything seems to work OK and goes back to park afterwards. The old wiper motor (which actually does work, different story - wiring), does not do this. The cam inside hits, but the shaft connecting tot he pump is frozen.

Update (yeah, quick huh?!). I found more updates here. I'm just going to order a cover plate and use a pump at the tank. LOTS less complicated.

Please disregard. Thanks!
