Intake Manifold Gasket
The same auto shop is telling me the intake gaskets need to be replaced. Does that seem odd? I've had many cars in my life and none of
them ever required the intake gaskets changed. This car twice in 2 years now. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Ken

45 Rich Exhaust Check the evaporative charcoal cansiter and it’s components for the presence of fuel. Replace the oxygen sensor.
changed when I bought it and the intake gasket done. O2 sensor is basically new when I had the new dual exhaust
installed 6 months ago. This is a Corvette repair shop that I bring it too, I assume they know about the canister as well. But I will
certainly bring it up to them. Just seems odd to me that it's a vacuum leak after all the replacement that was done.
Thanks
I'd try to find the vacuum leak myself, before bringing it back to the shop. It could be at the carb base. There are plenty of YouTube videos on the subject (there's nothing Corvette specific about this step).
Do you hear a miss? Perhaps when downshifting? It's not a (rare) 4-speed, is it?

get it smogged in the next few weeks and I didn't need the light coming on while it was being done. The only problem I've had with it running
is when I go out on the weekend, the more stops I make the harder it seems to be to start. 1st restart when I'm out, it fires right up. Takes
longer to start each time I make a stop somewhere. Runs like it's going to stall for about 1 minute, then is fine the rest of the drive. No missing,
no stalling feeling when at a light. Check engine light would normally come on after an hour. I'd come to a stop light and the light would come on.
Once I took off from the light, the light would go off.
