Bellhousing and pulling the engine
Hey all! I am pulling the engine on my 79 L82 4sp. I'm down to the short block (besides the cam which is why I'm pulling it). What are your thoughts on the bellhousing? I really don't want to pull the transmission but I have been warned that the engine w housing attached is tough to line up w the transmission on reinstall Thanks in advance for the help

A lot less time under the car if you pull it all. It is best to have a buddy help you get it back in. That is with a fixed crossmember, it may be easier if yours is removable, I can't say for sure on that part.
