There was an ealier thread on installing 5-point racing harnesses, as well as another thread recently regarding camera mounts. I just installed the Shark Bar II harness bar from http://www.vetteworksonline.com and a pair of Sparco/Sabelt 5-point cam lock harnesses. The Shark Bar fit very well and easily installed in about 2 hours. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of construction and powdercoating, as well as the thoroughness of the instructions. I also opted to have them make it from chromoly, as well as add a Halotron chrome plated fire extinguisher for both the driver and passenger seats.
WoW Monty...that looks really good....its sweet that all you can see is the bar going across after it was complete.
I checked out the webpage as well. Seems like a quality product
I wish it wasnt soo much $$ tho to get the bar, passenger belt set-up and camera mount, otherwise id have to get that since my seat belts dont work so well right now, i race, and it looks bad azs
Monty, looks great! That's a good idea to put it under the carpet, just in time too as my new carpet & rear storage compartment should arrive soon and I'll install it next week. Were there any problems doing it that way, anything I should be careful of?
Thanks guys. No problems at all. Actually, the downward bar seems to hold the carpet under the door jam better because it kinda pinches it in. I just like to keep all of my mods as hidden as possible. Obviously, the harnesses stick out but I feel the additional security is worth it.
Hey vettedan.....had no idea you made them. They are definitely very nice tho  One of these days ill have to get one in mine....just gotta finish some other mods first. i.e. tremec tko :D
I agree. This bar is really nice stuff. My father was down in Florida and checked it out for me. He said that it looked really sweet. The only reason I want one of these it to mount my camera for when im drag racing. I too feel that it is to much to spend just to mount my camera. If i needed it for seat belts and fire extingishers, that would be another story, but i still want one.
Vettedan, do you think there is a way to make one that is not ment to hold the belts or fire extingishers? One that is just strong enought to mount a camcorder?
No, I'm not affiliated with anyone. I'm just a guy that likes working on my car in my garage like everyone else.
I'd like to see this picture of my setup on eBay though, would you mind sending me the link. No one asked to use my pic, but I'd assume it's Paul from Hydrotech?
Sorry- could not find it again, but yesterday the auction was close to being finished. Check and I am sure it will be back on again soon...I am positive it was your engine bay- not too many engines like that floating around.

QuickVet-I'm looking into designing a bar for a camera mount only that will reduce the cost of manufacturing.
