im working on a 71 non ac conv.
The aim diagrams for attaching the Bowden cables are poor at best.
Im thinking that I should have. 2. Vent cables. And at least one more for temperature.
Any words of wisdom?
i have a cable from the passenger side vent, im not sure how it attaches in the console are.
I have one more from the top of the heater box..
But I seem to be missing the vent cable to the drivers side vent
Hello,
Here are some photos showing the Bowden cables 'snaking' behind the dash panes.
Perhaps they might be some help to you.
Look for the distinctive 'alligator skin' on the cables.
Regards....

You should have a separate vent cable for the drivers side. I replaced mine on my 68 which I assume is similar to a 71. It was very difficult routing the cables between the attaching points. It was also very difficult attaching the cable to the underside of the console top and then getting the console top to seat correctly. If there are any tricks I didn't find them.
