I’m setting up the new throttle cable and pedal assembly for my 73.
I can’t find any procedure in the AIM for adjusting the throttle cable.
The Lokar cable instructions are basically WOT is set at the pedal stop or the floor, which has been the way I’ve done it in the past on other builds.
Is there any thing different on these C3 pedal and throttle cable setups or is it just the old simple way?
I did find this reference in the Shop Manual but it doesn’t specify the year and my 73 doesn’t have any type of throttle stop.
No, I swapped to a 5 speed manual.
Plus the QJet has been swapped to a 4150 style 850 dp Quick Fuel carburetor.
My concern is more at the pedal end and how to set it to wide open throttle.
Is WOT when the pedal is at the floor or some measurement off the floor?
Plus I don’t recall there being any type of pedal stop when I dissembled the car and just need to know if there is one or not.
Thanks again, Greg

This isn't complicated. Set it to achieve WOT when the pedal is hard against the floor, with no interference from the floor mat. The floor is the pedal stop. That's it. Drive it.

I had to visit the local store and go through his supply of metal pedal throw rods for the linkage to get one that was bent enough to push the pedal all the way to the floor. It may be that the linkage I had installed that had some sort of adjustable mechanical connection at the pivot would have accommodated that but it failed and I figured a solid piece of metal rod was better reliability wise. Been a while but that was how I remember it. A torch would probably have fixed things too, but that isn't something I own.
