Default TKX Ques

Anyone running a TKX 5 spd? I have a Yoke question. My TKX output is a 31 spline shaft and I have a 31 spline Yoke from Richmond Gear/via Summit Racing that is sold as fitting the TKX. This Yoke is only going 3/4" on to the shaft. I can see no blockage on either part. Anyone else run into this?

Try removing that seal and see if there's a difference....

I'm wondering how your going to make that style yoke work on a C3 Corvette.

that doesn't sound quite right to me..... my ROD 6 speed went in a lot farther than that.
Is there some obstruction in the way.?

You probably want to the following if that is the equivalent of a Turbo 400 yoke:

Do multiple searches available as kits or individually.... prices are wildly all over the place so don't buy the first one your see.TH400 spline slip yoke GM part number 3930827
U-joint bolt and strap: I got them at a chevy dealer was it was ages ago:
014018700 bolt & 003882979 strap

The tail bushing on my new TKX was very tight also but it will go in.

My 81 has a bolt in crossmember. I'm thinking push the yoke all the way in, insert the rear u-joint which will seat with about a 1/2" pull back. all that's needed should be 1/2 inch clearance to get the rear in. What do you think?

That yoke will not work on a corvette....you need to pay attention when someone points out things to you 3 posts ago and a full day. Return it before you bugger it up

you have a rear cross member too that the shaft goes over the top

Turbo 400 yoke won't fit any Tremec. I know, I have two of them but they're too big. My understanding is all Tremecs take Ford C6 style yokes so I had to buy one for my TKX.

That one piece yoke will not work. Unless you want to loosen the diff to get it all in.

It is very difficult to find a bolt-together 31 spline Ford C6/TKX yoke.
You need the bolt together yoke as factory to fit the shaft above the two crossmembers.
You have a 1310 and a 1350 u-joint choice, or a round bolt-together style. No 1330s anywhere.
Suggest you call SilverSport and order their C3 setup. It fits.

Thanks, My mistake. I mistakenly thought it used the Turbo-400 yoke. My apologies.
