No dome light here. One in the rear compartment and two under the dash near each kick panel and yes they work when the doors are opened or when the headlight **** is twisted to the far left.

My courtesy lights work... now. :cheers:
Thems was broke when I got the car. In fact, all the interior lights (dash, etc) didn't work when I got the car. Now that I think about it, everything in the car barely worked if it worked at all.
All that has changed. $26K later, everything works like new... because it is all new. :lol:

My 77's dome/under dash lights works great. But when it's cold out, the timer doesn't want to shut it off for at least 15 minutes. My 72...After replacing both courtesy light switches in the door, and replacing one of the bulb sockets under the dash...they work great!!! (whew) That was a PITA..

I don't have a dome light, just courtesy any rear compartment , And yes they work. :iagree: mine work also...I also have A light on my Rear view mirror which way cool :cheers:

I have on in the rear compartment and passanger side footwell that come on when the door is open. If there's one in the driver's side footwell it doesn't work.

All lights work, even have the cool maplight, but is difficult to tell if it's on or off due to the low intensity. There's also a lamp in the center storage compartment with a switch that turns it on if the center storage compartment is opened...interestingly it also sticks out into the jack stand compartment, so opening the center compartment provides light to see into the compartment where the jack stand is...nice for those late night flats.

Not only do my interior lights work very well, but I also get an audible 'beep beep, beep beep, beep beep...' from my stereo speakers when I initially close the doors. I suspect it is tied to either the aftermarket or the OEM security systems or the interior lighting system. Not sure...

Been there , done that, had to replace the light switch on my 72, the interior light wouldnt go on when turning the light switch all the way left.
