Whose dome light still works?
Just curious as to whose still comes on and off like it is supposed to. Mine hasn't worked since I got the car. Checked the bulb, and it was good. I eventually traced it to the interior light timer relay. I guess that is the reason none of my interior lights come on when I open the doors or anything. One of my friends is supposed to be fixing the relay for me. He says the circuit board just needs a little sodering done, and it will be good as new. :smash:

my door jam switches were cut long before I got the car, but I can use the headlight switch to turn on/off the dome, and footwell lights and they work fine.

I don't have a dome light, just courtesy any rear compartment , And yes they work.

Mine works with the door stays on delay and all but won't work if you turn the headlight switch like other cars. everything else on the switch works,dash-light dimming and such. Am I supposed to have a light in the storage area?

My map light in the mirror still works. ... and the one behind me in the storage area works too. What kills me is that that one is always hidden by the car cover that's back there ... and the ones underneath the dash don't work. :smash:

Well, I think it works :confused:
It comes on when a door is opened and goes off when the doors are closed, but wasn't the '77 dome light on a timer too? Shouldn't it stay on for a little while once the doors are closed?

No. My door switches have been removed by the previous owner. This in one of the never ending projects on this car that need to be looked at. :mad

My fuse is blown, but I don't know why as I fear what will happen when a put another in. It'll blow, then my entire interior will be put as I trace this blown fuse. I can't let that happen. Stupid Bubba wired stuff funny in the car.

my rear compt and curtesy lights work with the driver door and headlight switch. the pass door doesn't, and nothing is obviously wrong with the switch. some day i'll get under there with a meter. Joe
