Default Q-Jet ID # Where do I find this #?

I bought a Q-Jet off ebay for rebuilding as the carb on my 81 was not the right one. The carb was listed with the ID# 17081228, but the only # I can find is a number on the back drivers sides in a circular pattern with the # 17070839, is this the ID#, or is is somewhere else on the carb?
Thanks!!

Try looking on driverside next to secondaries on square rectangular portion, number should be sideways on the side.

Just to try to be sure I got this right, what do you mean by sideways? Is it in a circular pattern? Looks like a clock dial face with #'s going in a circle. Is this what I am looking for?

Thanks a bunch!

It's on a flat surface near the back side of the secondaries, vertical on the drivers side of the carb, stamped in a line, with the numbers about 5/32 tall.

Anyone have a picture?

The number in the circle is a casting number - this is not the carb nunber. The carb number is on the driver's side, right above the secondary throttle shaft linkage. It's stamped into the flat surface of the float bowl, and the number is on its side running vertically up the flat stiffening rib at this location.

Here is a #17058204 carb: 1978 first design for an L-48 with AT and A/C.
