Wiring Elect Choke
Where is the easiest and most convenient place to wire IGN power to the choke without going thru the dash and using lotsa wire? I'm taking care of some lazy crap that's been in place since my motor was put in 1500 miles ago.
When I got her running, I didn't take time to really put detail into things like plug wire routing, and such. One of the things I did that needs to be changed was to put the wire for the choke into the connection for the coil in the HEI distributor :nonod: ... and I intend to correct that now.
The alternator + wire is battery power, right? So that's unsuitable for the coil on the choke. Other suggestions appreciated.

You need a full 12 volts. The alt. is where I take power for my electric fans at, but they have a relay and thermostat to turn them on and off. For the electric choke, I ran mine through the firewall and got on an ignition point. Not very hard at all. Sorry I couldn`t come up with any thing else for you.

Re: Wiring Elect Choke (Ganey)
Was assuming ya didn't need wipers
LOL!
Funny you should say that! Last week I found out that my car's wipers actually worked! Had the car for a year now, and never flipped the switch. After last week's rain, we had a day that was supposed to be perfect. So I took the cover off the car and let it warm up. Hadn't driven it for a week. :smash:
I no sooner got on the road to work and got a splash of rain. Well, a splash of something. Most folks in other parts of the country wouldn't even call it rain. But I had to TRY them wipers!
And they were just what I expected: Very worn out and woefully inadequate!
