On the bottom of the differential, there is a number stamped which I know, explains the ratio and stuff. I can't find it on the web and don't have a book either. It is LR N 105E2. The letter "N" is small and may jnot be a N. I'm stumped in Tennessee.

The differential code for your 1971 was a new format than that used in previous years and is decoded as follows:
The first two letters designate the axle ratio
The third letter designates the axle plant
The numbers following (one to three) are a Julian date
The next letter is the positraction source
The last number identifies the shift that assembled the differential
So... For your particular differential...
LR - 3.36:1 rato (positraction)
N - Take a good look at this... I'm guessing it is actually a "W" for Warren Motive (or perhaps a "K")
105 - April 15 (1971)
E - Eaton
2 - Second shift
