i am gdh's son A. My dad does not have a 454 he has a 383 B. he does not make up stupid storys now i all no you have seen super fast saying that he was 73-454 but it was just a joke that went to far and most of you know my dad and you know hes not at all like that guy

Woke up this morning and Kyle talked to me, for those of you who don't know him he just turned 15 this past week and is a fellow vette nut. Um one other maybe small note to some about him, he has Cerebral Palsey, that kid is a hero as he never stops fighting, he also has brittle bone disease right now his left arm is in a cast from his shoulder to his hand, multiple breaks from a fall.
My wife was severley injured in a car accident 11 years ago, hit by a drunk. She takes more pain killers/day then mpst any of us in 1 year.. She had vertebrae sheared off her spine every rib broken in at least 2 and a severe head injury.
So when I get emails stating in very clear terms how they are going to take for example baseball bats to me, my vette and my familly - to me it is time to check out at least for awhile. I am 6'1" an ex national team rugby player and never been afraid of anyone to date, but attacks to my familly are something that scares the hell out of me, I am sure that Anne would not be into "having a nice American man visit you during the day and showing you what a good time really is". I especially appreciated the point about if I have a daughter that ... nevermind it is too sick.
So out of what I know was meant to be a joke the warm reception that came my way was enough to tell me that I need a break from here for awhile and given that it is March break up here I will take my family away for the remainder of the week.
Kyle - you are the man my son, keep fighting and never give up.

The thing about this is that even if he was actually georgie, (which he isn't) I don't recall 73-454 ever doing anything beyond the typewritten word. So, it's just a few sentences sent over a chat room. Let it go at that. Anybody that would sent emails like that to somebody just because of what they put up on some internet board has something seriously wrong with them. I've said it before and I'll say it again, knowing when to say nothing is getting to be a lost art anymore. I just don't understand it. You can say anything you want to me on this or any forum, and within a very short time of going offline I'll forget all about it. It's been a long time since 73-454 has been gone and people are still behaving like like testosterone overloaded teenage boys. :rolleyes:

gdh, sounds like you're family has been through alot. I hope there is nothing but happiness, prosperity, and peace in your future. The prayers of my family are with you.

Greg, I have no idea what the original post was all about. Sounds like some sort of joke that went too far.

I just wanted to say that you are a great fellow-vetter, and obviously so is mini-ghd. I am sorry to hear about all the hardships that you and your family had to face because of this.

I have only known you for a few months....but know this much for sure: you have a great heart and a sense of humour. Please ignore all nasty emails that you received.
