I used something in a spray can called Plasticoat(i think thats what its called) in bright red so itll look the ZO6's bright red calipers. I got it at Walmart and I think they also had black, silver and yellow.
I think the most popular color to paint them is either bright red or grey. The people who paint them grey want them to look stock(as cast), but not rust. The people who paint them red want them to be noticed.
I bought the red caliper epoxy from MidA. That stuff hardens really nicely, but I'm sure you can get something locally less expensive. I know there is some spray paint out with Ceramic in it that is pretty tough stuff.
You can tell the Z06's on the GM assembly line because they are the ones coming thru with the RED calipers ;) .
Just got a kit from Eastwood yesterday 8 colors to chose from. I got black the kit comes with cleaner, paint, hardner, paint brush, even a mixing stick for $47.99. Now thats on my to do list.

Re: BRAKE CALIPER PAINT (Oldguard 7)
I painted mine using Red Devil polyurethane red, but I don't think I'm crying out for attention. :D It adds some color to an otherwise dark & dingy area.
... or you could be like SuperFast80 and paint them hot flaming pink. I painted mine silver last year with a manifold high heat paint, when I put the Cragars' on I will repaint red.
My vert is metallic green, what color does anyone think it should be? I was leaning toward black.
I agree, black would be good for you. I have considered doing to my Pace, only because I have a five spoke 17inch wheel and you can see the rusty colored rear calipers and the silverish front calipers. Not to mention, the wheel hubs need to be painted too.
Just did my rears today with Red Plastikote caliper paint (900 degree) in the spray can. They turned out beautiful. Bought it at Walmart.
I am replacing the OEM pistons with VBP O-ringers and I had removed the OEMs and springs and wire wheeled them and final cleaned up pretty good with brake cleaner on paper towels. I loosly put in the OEM pistons without the springs back in to allow painting without getting paint into the bores. Also covered up the bleeders and the tapped holes, etc...
Once I put the VBP pistons in, it'll look great. Also setting them up with SS braided brake hoses.
The difference the red made to the housings are remarkable. Im a happy camper!!
I used a silver rust paint....to prevent rusting.....they look good. i also brushed it on not spray. thicker coat than the spray....i would show you a pic but i got rid of them all i think....yah they all gone!!! trimclad!!
That undercoat looks like it traps a lot of dirt. It has cusion to it to stop the nicks.. but doesn't look like it would clean up too easy.. Has that been your experience too..?
Mine came yellow cadmuim plated. I helped the color out with gold spray. My calipers don't show but I still like them to look good for anyone looking at the undercarriage.
