I had my dash and door panels done at the same place that did my seats and he just peeled off the old stuff and made another covering for them and glued them on the red and black on the panel are actualy totaly different materials the red is a vinal and the black is like a polyester suede of some sort. He did all these pieces for about 500$ total.
just an idea if you could find someone around your area that does this kind of work it might be a good option and the typs/styles of material that they have access to is quite unblievable.

I'd be interested to know HOW you get the old skin off and what kin of substrate is left for the new material to adhere to. And how to get the new material (which I presume is flat) to confrom to the curves.
